{The Zoo and The Park}

what a  beautiful day we had yesterday.
aubrey and i spent it together at a nearby zoo and park with our good friends.
the animals were a bit inactive due to the cold temps.
most of them were all huddled together inside or curled up in a ball in the sun.
that's ok, i think the girls had more fun at the park anyway.
and really who could blame them.

this is aubrey's classic...."oooh mommy come get me" face.

sorry for the picture overload.
between the park, the weather and these adorable two...i couldn't help myself.:)

it was a great day filled with smiles, laughter and good conversation.
and i even got to snuggle up with a newborn.
what could be better?

...happiest moment of the day so far...
hearing aubrey say "i can do it...i know i can" as she headed up to the top.

have a happy day,

{thankful for}

  1. So cute that Aubrey has a friend her age! Your pics are great...my favorite is the one of the girls swinging and laughing.
    Your trip to St. Louis looked fun! I had to laugh about Janey never "just walking" because I have one of those and boy does it frustrate me sometimes! He twirls and spins too and runs into me (and other people!)...and he too wouldn't dare do that in school! :)
    Also laughed about the pool...that happened to us once before...I can just picture it and how it made me all skiddish!
    Happy Friday! Have a great day!

  2. Love those sunshiny pictures! Looks like it was a great day!

  3. Love days like this, Cindy! Maybe even more than summer...the beautiful fall colors and just a nip of cool in the air. Beats scorching sun anyday! Your photos are beautiful, as always! Happy weekend, yay!

  4. Great pictures! Looks like the girls had fun. I miss spending the afternoons at the park with friends.
    Have a wonderful Friday!

  5. How funny, I just said in my post today how thankful I am for gps. I used to say, I don't ever need one of those! Now, I eat those words, because it has saved me several times, including today.

    No worries on the picture overload. I'm a picture junkie, so the more the merrier in my book. I can tell it was a beautiful day by your photos. Friend time is the best! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
