{Snow}

last night we got some snow!
the girls were all praying for a snow day...but sadly...no such luck! this was our view on our snowy lunch date ride with riley through the park.

one of the best things about the snow is the quiet.
can't get enough of that.

aubrey couldn't get enough of it either.
the snow that is!

we lasted about 30 minutes before the cold got the best of us.

  and if the day wasn't perfect enough...look at this sunset!

we have -3 as a high tomorrow and -27 windchills at 8 am...
yep.
you read that right!

stay warm friends!

{First Flurries of the Season}

our first flurries fluttered to the ground this weekend.
it was beautiful and dainty and perfect.
these pictures pretty much sum up how the girls feel about it...

delighted...wouldn't ya say?

ok...it was pretty.
especially this view.

and just so i don't forget...these fall flowers dave brought home 2 weeks ago and still hangin in there.
maybe our fall (not winter) weather will too...

have a happy day,

{Snow and Sledding}

we finally got a dusting of the white stuff.
it started to fall while the girls were at school and aubrey waited so patiently for them to get home.
there is something so magical about that first snowfall.
the quiet and stillness is what always gets me.
i love it.

over the weekend the girls were determined to sled even though most of the snow was gone.
they had the half snow/half grass hill at our park all to themselves.
dave said aubrey was born to sled...she giggled the whole way down...so did the other two of course!:)

we are hoping for more then 1-2 inches next time.

have a happy day,
cindy

{snow}

we finally got enough of the white stuff to go sledding!

aubrey preferred the calmer slopes in the backyard.

playing in the snow at home can be fun too...

because it usually always involves hot chocolate!:)

have a happy day,
