hi there
day going well?
now that blogger seems to be up and running we can all breathe a sigh of relief
back up your blog yet????
one more thing on my to-do list.....:)

yes she propped her baby up there

aubrey and I have been enjoying our last few days at home alone
folding laundry all spread out in the middle of the family room
the usual

i don't know what to do with this little peanut's hair
we trimmed her bangs once
but i don't know if I want to keep doing that

she won't keep a clip in it either
so we have these constant "hair in face" pictures
oh well, i'll keep her

we have had some crazy weather here
highs in the 80's last week and wicked humidity
even broke out the snow cone machine

this week the highs are in the 50's-60's
i guess that's spring for ya
honestly i'm not complaining
a few more weeks of cool before the sweltering heat of summer sounds good to me

my sweet little janey was a bit sad this morning
she complained of feeling sick, but mama's intuition told me otherwise
i think she really just wanted to stay home with aubrey and i
so i sent her to school with a note for her teacher and some emergency mints in her pocket

we decided to surprise her for lunch
she smiled the biggest shy smile ever when she say us and said "i had a feeling you were coming today"
instead of eating lunch in the cafeteria we signed out and went to our favorite park
we had a car picnic since it was a bit chilly

it was such a pretty day
and we were practically the only ones there

i tried taking a picture of all of us
but there were too many squirms and giggles and
my arms weren't long enough

do b&w's really make you look less squished...and wrinkly!!:)  haha

janey took this one

obviously right????

it was a beautiful day and
just what we needed
only riley and daddy would have made it better

have a happy day,

  1. looks like you made the most of a sad day for her.

  2. Your pics are always so beautiful. And, your family is just lovely. Your home looks so full of joy! Was that a low trampoline in a couple pictures? I've never seen anything like that. Although that may be just what we need. My boys love jumping on other people's trampolines but I've been very hesitant to get one because of the danger involved. But, that looks doable.

  3. Looks like the perfect day... I love the idea of pulling her out for lunch; so sweet! Loved your pictures. Have a great night, tara

  4. That's so great you are able to sign her out for lunch! Living in the moment...so important! :-) I try to do this every day as well.
    Many Blessings,

  5. That's such a good idea...surprising them at lunch. You have such sweet girls.

  6. Love the swim suits in one pic and jackets in the next! And I love the new header! Too sweet!

  7. Hi Cindy! I'm new to this whole blogging thing but I just wanted to say that I have been following your blog and your girls are absolutely adorable...I too think you were so thoughtful collecting your daughter for lunch, I'm sure it made her very happy. And I love the trampoline!!! Have a great day :)

  8. so sweet, cindy ... and those photos came out so sharp, I love 'em! Funny that you have an in-ground trampoline - I JUST saw a photo/tutorial about creating one the other day (I've never seen one!) and thought how ingenious the idea was ... and of course, you're ahead of the curve ;-) Very cool, would love to hear more - did you do it yourselves?

  9. Those pictures are super sweet and so beautiful. I love that Aubrey propped her baby doll up like that. :) Love the summery swimsuit picture, but I agree with you, I will take a little more cool before the dog days of summer! The park/picnic pictures are great too. Have a good afternoon!

  10. Those last two are just priceless!

Way to follow your gut and give her a special treat! I love that she thought you might come!

  11. I can see the love in your pictures. I can't believe the warm weather you're having. It's still cold where we are and tons of rain. Shorts and tees are in the drawers but long pants and jackets are still what we're wearing! Thanks for sharing a bit of your day. PS I tried, really I did but I can't get up til 6:00. How do you do it? :) Have a great day, tara

  12. Wow Cindy, your pictures just keep getting better and better! Love that close up of Aubrey...those perfect little tiny teeth! And the one with you and the girls is perfect....there's a whole lotta love in that picture!

  13. I love that you're getting in the photos with your girls. They are going to cherish these. They ooze love.

  14. now i'm totally curious about that trampoline...very cool!
