{Remember Me.....?}

hi there
wow
a one day computer break turned into three
then three turned into a week and a half mighty fast

i guess it really wasn't just a computer break...it was a camera break too
cause i got nothin for you in the way of photos
but it always happens that way for me....
camera goes down
computer goes off
i guess it is a rebellion against all things technical and frustrating

anyway i'm back
and ready to catch up on all i've missed

as far as what you've missed...
life was pretty much normal around here
which really is a good thing

we had a garage sale over the weekend
remember i have been in this purge it, organize it, clean it out mode lately
we did pretty well
now we need to decide where that money will go....a deep freezer for the garage or this
what do you think????
kind of a no-brainer for me!!:)

the girls got rid of some things too
and they had a bake sale
they made almost as much money as we did!:)
janey, my sensitive, sentimental, saver broke down in tears a few times
she spent about $5 in her profits buying back things of riley's she still loves
so janey
so sweet

dave took the girls fishing last weekend
it was beautiful
look at that sky

and those smiles
they even went out for round two on sunday
daddy's pretty happy he has at least two fishermen in the house

aubrey has been up to her usual cuteness

she came upstairs from the basement in this outfit
saying "look at me....i'm pretty princess"

is anyone else totally cracking up at these 2 year old orange toes
sliding out the top of those 5 year old ratty princess shoes.....?

{Tuesday and Today}

i really love tuesdays
aubrey and i hit panera for breakfast after drop-off
then we head to the library for story time
something about our library
i seriously love it
it is filled and i mean filled with the most amazing children's books
since this is all i'm reading these days
that makes me very happy

when aubrey and i were at panera chatting about what kind of books we should look for
she said the sweetest thing...
"get lil critter all by me-self"...instead of all by myself...i cracked up!

we came home with a bag full of books
including horse books and teacher books for janey and
5 nancy drew books for riley
did i mention i love our library?

the girls have dance on tuesday evenings
i stay with them and
dave puts aubrey to bed

i have been trying to camp out in the car and do the 30 days to a better photo series
so far i'm on like day 4...kind of confused...kind of frustrated
kind of want my point and shoot back
at least then i could blame my camera:)
i know it just takes time and practice and more practice
i am just so impatient!!!!!

today aubrey wanted me to get the sleeping bags out so she could lay down
she said she was sick
giggle giggle
needed a pillow
giggle giggle
and the ice

...top right...that's her giggle...

then it turned to
"lay wit me mommy
right beside me
on this pillow"
not a good idea to get me horizontal in the middle of the day with max and ruby's hypnotic voices in the background
i had to snap a few blurry pictures to stay awake

it was warm today
but beautiful
we headed outside before lunch
bare with me...this was fun

not quite sure why some were clear-ish and some were blurry
i'm only on day 4 remember?:)
but i captured the moment and i guess that's what really matters

still more
she learned how to twist the swing to spin around...

oh the giggles i heard

so that was our tuesday and today (so far) in a nutshell
or in a photo
or in a ton of photos:)

photo organization update:
well it is after october 1st
i missed my deadline by a bit, but i'm still not giving up
so far i have:
uploaded and organized all my photo cd's
ordered 300 photos from snapfish (that i need to get in an album)
ordered 400 more photos from snapfish that are on the way
that only brought me to my birthday...two years ago...ugh...
bought the only 2 remaining photo albums we use in town
uploaded some photos to persnickety prints ( i think i will switch to this service instead of snapfish)

we still have not found an alternative to paying $1500 to recover our old hard drive
i still need to look into printing photos from my blog/picasa web albums

not done but getting there:)

{Weekend Glimpses}

hi
i took a little-mini-blogging break.
felt good
needed it
dave was swamped at work last week
and when daddy's swamped, i feel swamped too

the busy week did allow dave to take off on friday
which was a BONUS!
he got to attend a school function with both of the girls
i made him take the camera

this one was my favorite

after school the big girls and i headed to the outlet mall for a little shoe shopping
as soon as i picked them up from school i handed them their extra yummy car-ride snacks and we jammed some tunes...our tunes
we can only do that when we don't have aubrey in the car asking for raffi and elmo
no luck in the shoe department
but it was still fun

friday night we had nicolles chilies rellenos for dinner
yummy

after dinner we played "race down the driveway" and  a very exciting game of front yard baseball
we have lived in il long enough to know that winter comes soon enough
enjoy being outside when you can

if i'm not cheering on the batter
i'm usually following this little peanut around
why are toddlers always so happy playing within inches of the street?

saturday the big girls and i went to the park while aubrey napped and daddy did the yard
we ran around
played on the bridge and
got to see 2 weddings and an engagement being photographed
exciting stuff in our small town
of course i was the only one without a camera

saturday night we had an amazing pot roast for dinner
and the girls had a sister sleepover
they were up till almost 10 giggling and doing each others hair
classic sleepover stuff
this was their first one since the summer, and
i think they needed it

sunday was pizza night

and pandora
always a party with pizza and pandora!
{new song from our sunday night jam fest...wanna come over??}

i know i have promised a pizza post for awhile now
soon...
