Tomorrow morning we are off to MD to visit my brother and his family. Everyone is so excited for this trip.
It seems like the girls have been counting the days since summer began. They have been packed for over a week and have countless "Lists" of things they don't want to forget. They have made artwork for their cousins and have made plans upon plans of the things they will do together.
Anyone else like to give their house a really good cleaning before going away for a trip? I love coming home...especially when what welcomes you is cleaned and ready to be filled with laundry and tired souls. The girls have been so into preparing for this trip they have helped me every step of the way...yesterday they cleaned all the bathrooms. Gotta love that! :) They even jumped into bed eagerly at 7:00 tonight!! I think it was the thought of the 3:45 wake-up that had them all excited...YAWN!

Oh my, I can't believe how organized you are? My house always looks like a tornado hit it as we walk out the door. And you have yours cleaned professionally by your daughters. I must be doing something wrong. Can you write a packing for a trip and keep the house clean along with your sanity kind of pamphlet. I would pay big bucks for one.

have a great trip! I never get my house clean before a trip because I always feel like it's chaos with everything that we have to pack everywhere that it's not supposed to be. But, maybe it would make it less overwhelming upon return then?
ReplyDeleteI love coming home to a clean house too Cindy! There's always enough work to do after a vacation...getting everything put away and laundry done...without having to tidy up a messy house!

Well, I'm not old and I got the John Denver reference before I even read that you wrote "John Denver" - therefore, you're not old either. :) Have a great trip! Looks like a very well packed car! And I totally agree - I LOVE coming home to a clean house after a trip.

ReplyDeleteHope you are having a fun trip. I laughed when I read that you clean before a trip. I DO TOO! I want to walk into a clean house, and one that smells good. I always leave some kind of scented cleaner in the toilets and my house smells so great when we return!

We're originally from Md. What part are you headed to? Yes, my house needs to be spotless before I leave too, I don't like coming home to a mess!
